One Response to Coat of Arms of the San Marino Franchini-Tassinis

  1. Bill Franchini says:

Well, here is another unexpected Franchini. Probably not a relation but, one never knows…
The second officer of the Andrea Doria at the time of its collision with the Stockholm on July 25th 1956, was a Franchini (hopefully he didn’t cause it!). To be exact his name was Curzio Franchini. He is cited in the book “Alive on the Andrea Doria: the Greatest Sea Rescue in History” by Pierrette Domenica Simpson. The book can be found on Google Books.
